Unicaja reinforces its commitment to the productive fabric of Jaén with a collaboration agreement with the Asociación de Comerciantes e Industriales de Linares (ACIL) and its more than 300 members. The aim is to boost local economic activity by supporting companies, SMEs and self-employed workers in the municipality.
Through advantageous financial conditions and specialised advice, the bank seeks to facilitate access to credit, promote new business opportunities and contribute to the commercial and industrial revitalisation of this city of Jaén.
The signing of the agreement was attended by Unicaja's Jaén Area manager, Vicente Nieves, and by the Head of the Linares Main Branch, Santiago Cárdenas, and, on behalf of ACIL, by its President, Eduardo Pérez Vizcaíno, and its Secretary General, Jesús Bustos.
Both institutions are collaborating to strengthen the business fabric of Linares and thus promote a competitive environment and sustainable development.
"Unicaja's support reflects its commitment to the productive fabric, especially to SMEs and self-employed workers," said Unicaja's Jaén Area manager. He added that the organisation offers professionals in Linares "a complete range of financial products and services, with advantageous conditions, to facilitate their daily management and activities".
For his part, the president of ACIL indicated that "this agreement has been reached thanks to the efforts made by Unicaja to help our group, with a specific plan that allows us to give the green light to our associates' projects and continuity to those who have a long professional track record". On this point, he stated that "with the financial products offered, we can be more competitive and ensure that our industrial and commercial fabric continues to grow and become more sustainable".
Specifically, the agreement includes liability products, financing operations, means of payment, digital services and insurance, as well as a comprehensive range of services for companies, SMEs and the self-employed (Plan Cero Profesional Autónomos, 'Requetecuenta Digital' and flat rate for POS terminals, among other benefits).
Support for SMEs and the self-employed
For Unicaja, businesses in general, and SMEs and the self-employed in particular, are key groups in its financing policy, as set out in the 2025-2027 Strategic Plan, especially in its areas of operation, such as the province of Jaén.
The entity is aware that the business segment is crucial to boosting the economy and, therefore, offers financial support and specialised financial advice, thus contributing to promoting competitiveness, innovation and job creation.
ACIL, established 25 years ago, is a business organisation that brings together a wide range of professionals, SMEs and commercial and industrial establishments in Linares, with the aim of defending their interests and promoting local economic development.
