Unicaja collaborates, one more year, with the San Silvestre Toledana, which this year will celebrate its 43rd edition, after renewing its agreement with the Club Deportivo Amigos del Atletismo, organizers of the race. With the signing of the agreement, the bank once again becomes the official sponsor of the children's races, which will be held on the afternoon of 31 December, as a prelude to the absolute race.
The area manager of Unicaja, Mariana Palacios, and the board of directors of the Club Deportivo Amigos del Atletismo, represented by Epifanio Gutiérrez, Antonio Arellano and Pedro Guijarro, met at the headquarters of the bank in Toledo, in the Plaza de Zocodover, to close the details of the agreement, which has linked both institutions for more than thirty years.
In the words of Mariana Palacios, "collaborating once again with this race, so beloved by the people of Toledo, is a great satisfaction for Unicaja and shows the commitment of our institution with the values of sport and the promotion of its practice to generate healthy habits, especially among the younger population".
On behalf of the Amigos del Atletismo Sports Club, Pedro Guijarro wanted to highlight "how proud we are to have, once again, the support of Unicaja. It is a commitment that is not limited to the commercial sphere, but transcends the social; it is something we value very much when we talk about training. The practice of sports is a school and that an institution such as Unicaja once again supports the San Silvestre children's races is a clear sign of its involvement with young people".
Thanks to the agreement, Unicaja's image will be present on the T-shirt that will be worn by the participants of the children's races, boys and girls from 0 to 15 years old.
Registrations and schedules
Registration for the 43rd San Silvestre Toledana can be made through the web https://sansilvestretoledana.es/. The registration period will be open until 31 December or until the race bibs run out, although, if registration is made before 30 November, runners can get a personalized bib with the name of the participant.
The San Silvestre Infantil will have a circuit delimited between the roundabouts of Puerta de Bisagra and Hospital del Cardenal Tavera and will consist of several races adapted to the different categories on the same circuit, varying laps in each case.
The times, distance and categories will be as follows:
- 16.00 h: from 0 to 5 years old (Male and Female) 400m (1 lap)
- 16.10 h: 6 to 9 years (Female), 400m (1 lap)
- 16.20 h: from 6 to 9 years old (Male), 400m (1 lap)
- 16.35 h: 10-11 years old (Male and Female), 800m (2 laps)
- 16.45 h: 12-13 years old (Male and Female), 1200m (3 laps)
- 16.45 h: 14-15 years old (Male and Female), 1200m (3 laps)
