Unicaja and the Toledo Section of the Association of Economists of Madrid have signed a collaboration agreement under which the financial institution will support the celebration of the Economist's Day in Toledo, scheduled for next 27 November.
The area manager of Unicaja in Toledo, Mariana Palacios, and the dean of the Toledo Section of the Association of Economists of Madrid, Jesús Santos, have met for the signing of this agreement at the facilities of the financial institution in the Plaza de Zocodover in Toledo.
"For Unicaja it is an honor to be part of the celebration of the Economist's Day, an event of great importance to promote the work of a group that brings extraordinary value to our society," said Mariana Palacios, who has also valued the opportunity to work together with the aim of seeking synergies between the two institutions.
For his part, Jesús Santos thanked the financial institution for its involvement in this event and highlighted the importance of establishing alliances with organizations committed to the economic and professional development of the region. "This type of collaboration reinforces our aim of continuing to promote the role of economists in society and their contribution to the progress of Castilla-La Mancha," said the dean of the institution.
The Economist's Day event will be held on 27 November, at 7 p.m., in Fedeto's assembly hall, and will be attended by Amelia Pérez Zabaleta, dean of the Madrid Association of Economists, as well as by representatives of the economic and business sphere of Castilla-La Mancha and local and regional authorities.
On this occasion, José Juan Ruiz, president of the Real Instituto Elcano, will give a lecture on the current economic situation in the geopolitical context, a topic of great interest that will serve as a reflection on the "Economist's Day".
During the event, tribute will be paid to the economists who have been members of the institution for 35 years and those who have joined the Toledo Section of the Madrid Association of Economists in the last year will be welcomed.
The Toledo Section of the Madrid Association of Economists is the representative institution of the economist profession, whose essential purposes are the regulation of the practice of the profession, the exclusive representation of the same and the defense of the interests and professional expectations of its members.
Unicaja collaborates with this institution as part of its commitment to support those initiatives that generate value and contribute to the strengthening of the professional and social fabric in the regions where it operates, especially in those in which it has special roots such as Toledo and, by extension, Castilla-La Mancha.
