About 500 people gathered last 2 November at the Classic Rincón de la Victoria 'Full of Life' cycling race, which has been sponsored once again by Unicaja. The Plaza Gloria Fuertes, in the town of La Cala del Moral, Malaga, was the starting point of this race, which belongs to the modality of road cycling.
This race, which is now in its fourth edition, has established itself as one of the main events in the provincial and Andalusian calendar of leisure cycling, being currently one of the events with highest level. Organized by the Department of Sports of the Town Hall of Rincón de la Victoria and the Calabahía Cycling Sports Club of the town, it offers a circular route of more than 74 kms in length (70 free and four neutralized), starting and finishing in La Cala del Moral (Rincón de la Victoria).
It is a demanding and winding route, with an approximate duration of between two and four hours, which runs through interurban sections of nine emblematic municipalities of the Axarquia region of Malaga: Rincón de la Victoria, Moclinejo, Almáchar, El Borge, Cútar, Benamargosa, Comares, Málaga and Totalán. Along its route, the participants had to face, in addition, 2,000 meters of positive difference in altitude and four mountain passes (Moclinejo, Cútar, the Salto del Negro, in Comares, and Santopitar). This competition is included in the XXVII Provincial Cycling Circuit of the Diputación de Málaga and in the 2025 calendar of the Andalusian Cycling Federation.
Unicaja's support to this event is part of its firm commitment to promote the values of sport and sports practice, as key factors in the promotion of healthy lifestyle habits. It also responds to its general interest in collaborating in important events in its main areas of action, such as, in this case, Malaga, a province with which the entity has a special attachment.
