More than 15,000 people participated this Sunday in the 11th Walk Against Cancer in Salamanca, which was supported by Unicaja.

In a sporty atmosphere, the crowd of participants, dressed this year in pink t-shirts, started from the Nueva del Arrabal church to finish in the Plaza Mayor, with a six-kilometer route, suitable for all ages and 100% accessible. Precisely, the Plaza Mayor hosted the end of the festival, with a concert by the Salamanca band La Duda Ofende.

The aim of this walk, an initiative of the Association Against Cancer (AECC) in Salamanca, is to raise funds to promote cancer research and achieve 70% survival in 2030. It also seeks to promote social participation in the fight against cancer and disseminate healthy lifestyle habits.

It also aims to promote the free services offered to patients and their families in order to continue increasing cancer survival and comprehensive care for patients and their families.

In addition to Unicaja, the walk is sponsored by the Town Hall and the Provincial Council of Salamanca, as well as by other entities and companies.

Unicaja's participation in this initiative is part of its social commitment and the continuous support that the bank provides to different associations and events held in the regions where it operates, such as Salamanca and its province, thus contributing to the strengthening of the professional and social fabric of the region.
