Unicaja joins the main sponsors of the Seville Opera Festival, a biennial project promoted by the Seville City Council, which will hold its first edition from 25 September to 12 October.

Specifically, Unicaja joins this international opera event in the Platinum-Strategic Partner category. Its support represents a decisive boost to the sustainability of the project and underlines the bank’s commitment to the cultural and social development of the areas where it operates, especially Andalusia and, specifically, the province of Seville.

In fact, within the framework of its sustainability policy, the promotion of culture is one of the key goals of the financial institution, in the understanding that, through artistic production, it contributes to the development of the economy and society.

Programme

The festival, with a programme that balances tradition and the avant-garde, will take place in seven landmark heritage venues: the Real Fábrica de Artillería, the Real Alcázar, the Teatro de la Maestranza de Sevilla, the Espacio Turina and the Casas Palacio Dueñas, Salinas and Hospital de la Caridad.

For almost three weeks, Seville will be transformed into a unique stage where operas by Philip Glass, Mozart and Monteverdi will be performed, together with works by Manuel García and contemporary premieres, as well as recitals by internationally renowned artists.

This support consolidates the Seville Opera Festival as an event that will not only celebrate artistic excellence, but will also contribute to projecting the image of Seville on the global cultural map, enhancing its historical legacy and its capacity for innovation.
