Unicaja has joined forces with the Government of the Autonomous City of Melilla to grant guarantees aimed at facilitating young people's access to their first home in property ownership. This program provides young people up to 40 years of age with between 80% and 95% of the mortgage to access the purchase of an apartment.
The agreement was signed this Tuesday at an event attended, on behalf of Unicaja, by the regional manager of Eastern Andalusia, Juan Cayuela.
This agreement benefits Melilla residents up to 40 years, who have been registered in the Autonomous City the two years prior to the submission of the application.
Under this guarantee program, the Autonomous City, through the Municipal Housing and Land Company of Melilla (EMVISMESA), provides a guarantee for between 80% and 95% of the amount of the property (for a maximum amount of 30,000 euros). In any case, the price of the property with its annexes cannot exceed 250,000 euros.
The dwelling, which may be new or second-hand, or free or privately promoted public protection, must be destined for the applicant's habitual residence for at least three years following the signing of the mortgage loan.
Applications at Unicaja branches
Interested young people can submit their applications at Unicaja branches, which will be in charge of the processing with EMVISMESA.
With this agreement, which adds up to others signed with other autonomous communities, Unicaja, as part of its sustainability policy and its strategy of proximity, reinforces its commitment to young people, aware that the initial savings required to buy a home with a conventional mortgage can make it difficult for them to access the real estate market.
