This Tuesday was held the sixth edition of the PROA Awards, organized by the Marine Maritime Cluster of Andalusia (CMMA) and which recognize the work of institutions, companies and individuals who promote development, research, innovation and sustainability in the Andalusian maritime-marine field. The awards have been sponsored by Unicaja.
In this edition a total of eleven prizes were awarded in different categories, the winners being:
· New Company/Entrepreneurship Idea Award: Marisma Biomed.
· Maritime-Marine Business Excellence Award: Tecnoambiente.
· Blue Knowledge Award: Aquaculture Technology Center of Andalusia and Professor José Carlos García Gómez.
· Social Responsibility Award: Maritime Service of the Civil Guard.
· Blue Horizon Award: María del Mar Plaza Yélamos.
· Impulsa Territorio Award: Senda Azul.
· Sustainability, Environment and Nature Award: IUCN Centre for Mediterranean Cooperation.
· International Award: Rocío Reinoso.
· Security and Defense Award: Vice Admiral Benigno González-Aller Gross.
· Sustainable Blue Tourism: Salinas Artesanales Biomarís.
· Networks Award: Marinas de Andalucía.
In addition to Unicaja, these awards are sponsored by the Regional Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development of the Junta de Andalucía and with the support and collaboration of Tourism and Planning Costa del Sol, the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Services and Navigation of Malaga and the Confederation of Business Owners of Andalusia (CEA).
