Once again this year, the Bonos al Consumo (Vouchers) are back for purchases in the local commerce of León. This is an initiative already consolidated and financed by the Town Hall of León, within the framework of the agreement with the Chamber of Commerce and the local hotel and catering associations, with the aim of promoting and modernizing the retail trade. The promotion, in which 500 shops are participating, will run until 30 September. Unicaja collaborates one more year with this campaign, which has been presented this morning, in an event in which participated the regional manager of Unicaja in Castilla y León, Manuel Rubio.
The Town Hall has approved a budget extension that raises to 300,000 euros the funds allocated to the new campaign, which will inject up to 1.2 million euros in the local economy according to the consistory. The previous campaigns have involved an economic movement of 7.4 million.
This measure, which has doubled the amount initially planned, will allow the launch of a new edition of the popular discount vouchers in the third week of May, which in previous calls were sold out in just a few days. The system is maintained: the Town Hall subsidizes 25% of the total amount of each voucher, while the customer assumes the remaining 75% when making their purchase or consumption.
The vouchers will be available in three formats: 5, 20 and 40 euros, with different proportions of public and private financing. Each person will be able to purchase a maximum of 150 euros in vouchers, identified by their identity document. These can be used in physical or digital format via QR code.
To ensure an equitable distribution, a limit per establishment is established: 30,000 euros for stores and 15,000 euros for hotel and catering businesses. The vouchers can be purchased on the website of the Chamber of Commerce, in person at its headquarters, located at number 30, Avenida Padre Isla, or through Bizum.
