Unicaja reaffirms its commitment to the musical cycle Marenostrum Fuengirola, which this year reaches its tenth edition, continuing one more year as its main sponsor.

Unicaja's support for Marenostrum Fuengirola, present since its inception, responds to the bank's interest in fostering culture and promoting music, as well as its interest in supporting the productive fabric and sectors that drive economic development and employment, both in Andalusia in general and in the province of Malaga in particular.

Marenostrum Fuengirola is organized by the Town Hall of Fuengirola and has been recognized as one of the great outdoor concert series in Europe, and characterized by the diversity and variety of styles on offer.

The 2025 line-up features more than 30 musical events between May and September, with concerts by leading national and international artists such as Myke Towers, Chayanne, Rosario, Maná, Antoñito Molina, Ozuna, Juan Luis Guerra, Lionel Richie, Sebastián Yatra, Paloma San Basilio, Pecos, Leiva, Andy & Lucas and Pastora Soler, among others.

Many of them will perform on the 'Unicaja' stage, the main stage of Marenostrum Fuengirola, located on the hill of the Sohail Castle and with capacity to host events for up to 18,000 people, which provides a complete musical experience on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea.

About Marenostrum Fuengirola

The musical cycle Marenostrum Fuengirola celebrates its tenth edition this 2025. Born as an action of the Town Hall of Fuengirola to promote the city internationally attracting musical talent, the Fuengirola venue is established as a space where culture and music merge to offer the public an immersive experience on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, sheltered by the history of the Sohail Castle and the Roman city of Suel.

The concert series received six nominations at the Iberian Festival Awards in 2023, and was also recognized as the most attended concert series in Spain in 2022 and 2023. In addition, in its commitment to sustainability within the plan in which it works annually to improve the venue, it was one of the finalists for The Green Operations Award by the European Festival Awards in 2023.

The venue has established itself as a national reference in concerts, hosting performances that take place in large venues in Madrid and Barcelona. It has positioned itself as one of the most attractive venues for audiences and artists. More than 500 great figures have stepped on the stages of the venue: Jennifer Lopez, Alejandro Sanz, Manuel Carrasco, Ricky Martin, Juan Luis Guerra, Bob Dylan, Robbie Williams, Rod Stewart, Santana, Ozuna, Scorpions, Nicky Jam, Bizarrap or the celebration of Louis Tomlinson's The Away From Home Festival in 2022.

In addition, Marenostrum Fuengirola has been committed to sustainability since its inception, so its venue follows an action plan for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030, with the aim of reducing the carbon footprint and improving people's lives. It is a 100% single-use plastic-free venue and works on 10 of the 17 SDGs.
