Unicaja collaborates, one more year, with the Speed Track European Series 2025, an event linked to the XX International Trophy “Villa de Gijón”. A long-distance and speed skating competition, organized by the Club Patín Pelayo, with the collaboration of the Patronato Deportivo Municipal, to be held from 4 to 6 April at the Manuel F. López skating rink (Moreda-Natahoyo Sports Complex).
This will be the first stage of the new competition called Speed Track European Series 2025 (former European Cup), a European competition format consisting of five stages, one per country. It is a high-level event in Europe and will be attended by about fifty skaters from 14 countries.
The event was presented this Thursday at the Town Hall of Gijón, by the Councillor for Sports and Education, Jorge Pañeda, the president of Club Patín Pelayo, Montse Guerra, and on behalf of Unicaja, the area manager of Asturias East, Jorge Sariego.
This collaboration responds to Unicaja's commitment to support relevant events in its regions of origin, such as Asturias. It also reflects Unicaja's support for sport in all its disciplines and categories and its commitment to the values it represents.
Dates and times
The Manuel F. López skating rink (Moreda-Natahoyo Sports Complex) will host all the competitions, on the following dates and times:
- Friday, 4 April, from 14:30, in the afternoon.
- Saturday, 5 April, from 9:30 in the morning and from 15:30 in the afternoon.
- Sunday, 6 April, from 9:00 in the morning.
