Farmers and livestock breeders in the region can benefit from a new agreement signed between Unicaja and UPA Castilla-La Mancha. The aim of this agreement is to facilitate the application procedures of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) aid through the agricultural organization, as well as access to advances of the subsidy, by the financial institution.

The agreement was signed at the headquarters of the bank in Cuenca, in Parque San Julián, by the regional manager of Unicaja, Almudena Noheda, and by the secretary of administration of UPA Castilla-La Mancha, Miguel Esponera.

Thanks to the agreement, UPA associates will be able to formalize the CAP in the simplest way and with maximum guarantees through the organization. In addition, those who request the direct deposit of their application file in Unicaja may have, quickly and easily, the amount of aid in advance and benefit from special conditions in the bank.

In addition, the bank has allocated 1,000 million euros for pre-approved loans for the amounts with which to cover the needs of the aids, through an agile concession. This offer is also extended with loans for the modernization and improvement of farms.

For Almudena Noheda, “being close to organizations such as UPA allows us to know first-hand the concerns and needs of farmers and livestock breeders to respond with specific products and services, because, at Unicaja, we work constantly adapting our catalog and making it available to the sector with the personal attention of our specialized managers”.

Miguel Esponera recalled the importance of this type of agreements and collaboration with financial institutions such as Unicaja, in order to offer members the best possible service. Esponera stressed that the sector generates a significant volume of work, as well as a significant volume of business, “being the most important economic sector in the region”, so the work of financial institutions is essential for the daily lives of many farmers and livestock breeders of family farms.

Commitment to an essential sector

Unicaja is committed to a sector that is essential in Castilla-La Mancha, as one of its main development drivers, and works constantly to renew and adapt its financial resources to the needs faced by these industry professionals at all times.

Thus, they can have access to loans for agricultural investments, to improve the sustainability of their businesses or to finance new crops, in order to support their projects to continue growing and increase their competitiveness. In addition, they can count on aid advances, seasonal loans, harvest advances or advances on agricultural insurance premiums.

In addition, under the agreement with the Government of Castilla-La Mancha, Unicaja offers farmers and livestock breeders in the region special financing conditions, with the aim of injecting liquidity into the agricultural sector.
