Unicaja maintains its support to the ski and mountain resort of Sierra Nevada (Granada), managed by the public company Cetursa. The bank thus continues as an official sponsor of the ski resort, which has recently opened its snow season. The bank also contributes to the sports and cultural activities that take place during the summer season.

Unicaja's commitment also includes actions aimed at the bank's customers, who will be able to benefit from upcoming raffles (forfaits or stays), as well as specific activities.

Other activities include sponsorship of sporting events of special relevance, such as the FIS Snowboard Cross World Cup and the Ultra Sierra Nevada long-distance race, as well as the Mirlo Blanco activity park, with attractions for the whole family, and the Perseids Night, to contemplate this meteor shower in August.

In short, Unicaja's support to Sierra Nevada responds to the bank's interest in reinforcing its support for the productive fabric and the sectors that drive economic development and employment, especially in its traditional areas of operation, such as Granada and its province.

It is also part of the bank’s strong commitment to the promotion of sport and its values, giving visibility to the different sports disciplines and promoting sport from the grassroots level.

Commitment to sustainability and environment

Within the framework of its sustainability policy, under this agreement Unicaja strengthens its commitment to the respect and conservation of the environment, taking into account the nature of Sierra Nevada as a protected natural area and biosphere reserve, and contributes in this sense to the development of actions related to the protection and enjoyment of this natural environment by the citizens.

Unicaja's commitment to sustainability and the environment is reflected in the way it conducts its business, maintaining its ongoing responsibility and attention to the needs of its customers, shareholders, employees and other stakeholders, as well as to the economic, environmental and social demands of the areas and territories in which it operates. In fact, the company's purpose is to help people prosper.
