Unicaja will be one of the sponsors of Real Oviedo from this season 2024-25, and for two more seasons, and will also be part of its Business Club, a project to which it will give its name.

A new sponsorship was presented this Wednesday, during the first meeting of the season of the Real Oviedo Business Club by Unicaja, held at the main branch of the financial institution, in the Plaza de la Escandalera in the capital of the Principado. The meeting was attended by the president of Real Oviedo, Martín Peláez, and its head of Business and Operations, Estela Díaz Caicoya, and, on behalf of Unicaja, the Regional Manager – North, Luis Manuel Taboada.

During the ceremony, which inaugurated the new season, the objectives for this new season 2024-25 and the activities scheduled for the coming months were set, as well as a review of everything that was done last year. The main novelty that has been presented is the incorporation of Unicaja to the project, which already includes 63 companies, both local and national, which have Asturias as a field of action.

Estela Caicoya, Head of Operations and Business of Real Oviedo, has shown her gratitude to Unicaja “for opening the doors of their home in the privileged heart of the city. For supporting us and for being a fundamental pillar for our Business Club to continue growing with strength, multiplying the value of our brand and all those that are part of our family, and to continue building together a solid, safe and promising future. We are much more than soccer”.

For Unicaja, according to Luis Manuel Taboada, “it is an honor to collaborate with Real Oviedo and to get closer to society, of which we have been a part since our origins as a financial institution, also supporting this team”. Regarding the sponsorship of the Business Club, he pointed out that “it will be a magnificent opportunity to continue responding to the challenges and needs of companies and professionals who, like Unicaja, are committed to this land”.

The agreement between Unicaja and Real Oviedo S.A.D., which covers three seasons, includes, in addition to the sponsorship of the Business Club, the presence of the financial institution's brand in advertising spaces in the Carlos Tartiere Stadium and other Club facilities. In addition, Unicaja will collaborate with Real Oviedo in financial training sessions for both the men's and women's first team squad.

A space for exchange of ideas and collaboration

The Real Oviedo Business Club by Unicaja brings together all the companies that sponsor or collaborate with the team. Since it was created two years ago, it aims to create synergies between small, medium and large companies of the Asturian business network.

A calendar of activities is planned for the coming months, including business events, training sessions, experiences, conferences and round tables, visits to companies and sports activities, with the aim of creating networking spaces where members can exchange ideas, generate business agreements or identify opportunities for collaboration.

In addition, collaboration is promoted among the club's companies in specific projects, both locally, regionally and nationally.
