The Comunidad de Madrid has extended the Mi Primera Vivienda program, in which Unicaja participates and which is aimed at granting mortgage guarantees to facilitate young people's access to their first home in ownership, for people of up to 40 year-old, and has increased the amount guaranteed from 95% to 100%.

In addition, the program has also been extended to large or single-parent families or for the birth or adoption of a child, these cases without age restrictions.

Mi Primera Vivienda is an initiative that has benefited more than 2,000 people since it was launched, and has a budget of 25 million euros in 2024, in addition to the 36 million euros already invested since 2022, making it possible to grant 235.5 million in mortgage loans, with an average amount of 184,187 euros.

This initiative is a public-private collaboration program of which Unicaja is a member, among other financial institutions, and is also a measure that is part of the Strategy for the Protection of Maternity and Paternity and the Promotion of Childbirth and Work-Life Balance of the Comunidad de Madrid for the period 2022-2026.

Those interested in accessing Mi Primera Vivienda must be over 18 years of age and, from now on, not exceed 40 years of age. Likewise, it must be the first apartment they acquire and for which they opt for ownership and must prove legal residence in the Community of Madrid, in a continuous and uninterrupted manner, for at least the two years immediately prior to the presentation of the application.

Similarly, Unicaja also reinforces its commitment to young people, aware that the initial savings required to buy a home with a conventional mortgage can make it difficult for them to access the real estate market.
