Unicaja Banco has the Real Madrid Foundation Solidarity Mutual Fund (Class of the 'Liberbank Solidario, FI' Mutual Fund), a socially responsible mutual fund that will contribute financially to one of the Foundation's social projects, specifically the ‘Emprendeporte’ project, aimed at facilitating the social and employment reintegration of the long-term unemployed.
To this end, the fund manager will contribute 20% of the product’s management fee to collaborate in the development of the ‘Emprendeporte’ project, promoted by Real Madrid Foundation.
With this Solidarity Mutual Fund, Unicaja Banco intends to boost its socially responsible investment strategies, as part of its sustainable finance and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities.
In this fund, in which it is possible to invest from six euros, socially responsible financial and investment criteria are applied to the choice of the assets that make up its portfolio: environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG). Thus, this Solidarity Mutual Fund invests between 70% and 100% of its assets in other mutual funds that follow sustainability criteria.
The fund was presented at the Real Madrid City Auditorium by Real Madrid ambassador and former basketball player Felipe Reyes, Unicaja Banco’s Head of Cabinet, Ana Echenique, and the Bank’s Head of Private Banking and Asset Management, Miguel Ángel Martín-Albo, with the attendance of fifty customers of the institution.
