Ultra Sierra Nevada runs by paths and trails from downtown Granada to Veleta Peak and Pradollano ski resort. The start line is at the Monumental Complex of the Alhambra and Generalife and crowns the Veleta.

In this sense, the financial institution is an official sponsor of the mountain and ski resort of Sierra Nevada.
Unicaja Banco is one more year of the main sponsors of Ultra Sierra Nevada, a mountain race of 100 km whose sixth edition will be organized in Granada from 12 to 14 July, with an expected participation of over 1,100 runners of 30 nationalities.
Ultra Sierra Nevada runs by paths and trails from downtown Granada to Veleta Peak and Pradollano ski resort. The race will begin in the early morning of Saturday 13 July, with runners starting next to the Monumental Complex of the Alhambra and Generalife, to continue along the riverbank of Darro river until reaching the village of Beas de Granada.
From this point, runners, 36% of which will be foreigners, will continue to ascend by paths and trails in natural areas, passing by the villages of Quéntar and Güejar-Sierra, until reaching the finish line, in Pradollano ski resort, at an altitude of 2,100 metres.

Race, trail and marathon
Ultra Sierra Nevada is conceived as semi self-sufficient and has to be completed in less than 25 hours. It qualifies for the national circuit WAA Spain Ultra Cup, and it qualifies for the UTMB.
With regard to the route, the ascent to Sierra Nevada it is to be mentioned, with over 40 kilometres to climb 2,500 metres until reaching the Veleta Peak, to descend then to Pradollano ski resort by natural tracks.
Ultra Sierra Nevada also has two more accessible versions for other runners, such as Trail Sierra Nevada (62 km, starting from Beas de Granada) and Marathon Sierra Nevada (40 km, starting from Quéntar). These races share a part of the route, checkpoints and aid stations.
