Unicaja Banco continues as sponsor of the Miguel Delibes National Award for Journalism, organized by Valladolid Press Association

The award consists of a cash prize of 6,000 euros, contributed by the financial institution.

The bank highlights the prestige of this prize, whereas the Valladolid Press Association remarks the long-standing collaboration between both institutions.

 

Unicaja Banco and Valladolid Press Association (Asociación de la Prensa de Valladolid, APV) have renewed the collaboration agreement under which the bank will continues as main sponsor of the Miguel Delibes National Award for Journalism, which is celebrating its 24th edition this year. The agreement has been entered into today, in an event attended by Unicaja Banco’s Head of Institutional Relations and Relations with Stakeholders, Fernando Ríos, and by the President of Valladolid Press Association, Arancha Jiménez.

 

The award includes a cash prize of 6,000 euros, contributed by Unicaja Banco, an institution with a long-standing relation with this event since it was first organized in 1996 until 2012. The collaboration resumed in 2017.

 

Fernando Ríos, in the name of Unicaja Banco, has highlighted the importance of this journalism award at a national level, and has thanked the Press Association for their confidence in the institution as travel partners in this Award. The President of Valladolid Press Association, Arancha Jiménez, has expressed her satisfaction for the renewal of an agreement which has produced such good results throughout its long-standing history of collaboration.

 

Valladolid Press Association will disclose soon the new call to the Miguel Delibes National Award for Journalism. Winners of past editions include renowned names such as Fernando Lázaro Carreter, Juan José Millás, Luis María Anson, Ignacio Camacho, Iñaki Gabilondo, Pepa Fernández or the Argentinian Martín Caparrós.
