The Commercial Manager of Unicaja Banco Madrid and Castilla-La Mancha Regional Division, Rosa Galán, has remarked the long-standing support of the bank to Fenavin, which dates back to 2003, and its interest in promoting the growth of the province and the region, renewing the collaboration with ‘an event of strong national and international relevance as Fenavin, which fosters the development and the creation of added value in a priority sector for our economy’.

The President of Ciudad Real Provincial Council and of Fenavin, José Manuel Caballero, has thanked Unicaja Banco’s willingness to collaborate with the Fair for so many years, an exhibition event which, in his words, ‘deserves the support of entities and institutions, not only because it brings many possibilities to increase the presence of our wineries abroad, but also for the wealth and economic flow that it generates in the city and in many villages in the province’.

The institution will participate in Fenavin 2019 with a talk given by the Head of International Banking at Unicaja Banco, José Francisco Posé, under the title ‘Exporting wine: financial solutions to reduce risks’, on the possibilities that the international sale of these products offers to businesses. Also, the bank sponsors several round table discussions on the relationship between wine and olive oil, Spain’s leadership in world wine tourism and the capacity of vineyards as elements to generate wealth in the rural world.

Unicaja Banco has been present in the region of Castilla-La Mancha for more than 50 years, and this region is regarded as a strategic area within its lines of action. Unicaja Banco is one of the main financial institutions in Ciudad Real, thanks to an adequate capacity to adapt and to respond to the market needs, and to its significant economic and social contribution to the province.

More than 1,500 wineries and cooperatives from all the entire national territory and different designations of origin (D.O.) will be present at Fenavin 2019, to be held from 7 to 9 May in Ciudad Real.
