Unicaja Banco collaborates one more year with the third edition of FreakCon, the International Convention of Manga, Comic, TV Series and Videogames, which will be held on 9 and 10 March at the Trade Fairs and Congress Center of Malaga.

The participation of Unicaja Banco in FreakCon 2019 falls within the support of the bank to young people, entrepreneurship and new emerging business models, such as young digital talent. In this sense, the collaboration of Unicaja Banco also falls within its support to leisure activities and events which, as FreakCon or Gamepolis, gather thousands of young people interested in videogames and new technologies.

 

FreakCon is back in Malaga and it will be attended by actor Jack Gleeson, known for playing King Joffrey Baratheon in ‘Game of Thrones’.

 

Unicaja Banco collaborates one more year with FreakCon, the International Convention of Manga, Comics, TV Series and Videogames, which will be held on 9 and 10 March in the Trade Fairs and Congress Center of Malaga. The convention will be attended by Jack Gleeson, actor from ‘Game of Thrones’ and also by Marvel and DC international artists, and it includes activities such as lectures, videogame competitions or music performances.

 

FreakCon, which has been presented today in a press conference consolidates itself as a benchmark event in the world of comics, series and videogames. Actor Jack Gleeson, known for playing King Joffrey Baratheon in the HBO series ‘Games of Thrones’, will be guest at this third edition.

 

The participation of Unicaja Banco in FreakCon falls within the support of the bank to young people, entrepreneurship and new emerging business models, such as young digital talent. In this sense, the collaboration of Unicaja Banco also falls within its support to leisure activities and events which, as FreakCon or Gamepolis, gather thousands of young people interested in videogames and new technologies.

 

The encounter with actor Jack Gleeson is one of the main activities of this year FreakCon edition. The ‘Games of Thrones’ actor will participate in a meet and greet with the attendees and will participate in a ‘Q&A’.

 

Conferences about mega-productions in Andalusia and workshops on VR are other significant actitivies of FreakCon agenda, with encounters with international artists, such as the stop motion animator Tim Allen, voice actors Joël Mulachs and José Posada, or cosplayer Enji Night.

 

Other activities include cosplay contests and parades, videogame competitions and K-Pop performances, Jedi Academies, crafts, make-up workshops, or creation of Harry Potter wands and hamabeads.

 

In addition to Unicaja Banco, the following institutions collaborate and support FreakCon: Youth Area of Malaga City Council and Digital Content Hub, Fancine (organized by the Vice-Chancellor for Culture and Sports of the University of Málaga –UMA-), Trade Fairs and Congress Center of Málaga (Fycma) and several companies and associations.
