Unicaja Banco has become the main sponsor of the concerts scheduled under Granada ‘Musical Autumn’, with the signature today of an agreement between the bank and the public company Granada Eventos Globales (Gegsa), which will bring to the city well-known artists such as Miguel Ríos, El Barrio or Ara Malikian.

The sponsorship falls within Unicaja Banco’s interest in reinforcing its support to the productive fabric and to the sectors driving the economic boost and employment, both in Andalusia in general and in the Granada province in particular. It also reflects the bank’s support to the promotion of culture and music.

The agreement has been signed today by Unicaja Banco’s Head of Institutional Relations and Stakeholders, Fernando Ríos, and by the Granada Mayor, Francisco Cuenca, who thanked the bank for its ‘commitment and support to the city’.

The Mayor also remarked the support provided by Unicaja Banco to the promotion of culture and music in Granada, and highlighted ‘the importance of involving businesses and social and cultural agents of the city in the route to horizon 2031’, by which the city aims to be a European Capital of Culture.

Cuenca also pointed out the importance of the project for the city and the efforts made to ‘fill the Granada agenda with the widest offer of activities and musical proposals, to fill the Granada cultural agenda with a significant musical life to take roots in the habits of a city which wants to be a European Capital 2031’. The cultural programme ‘Musical Autumn’ so far has brought to Granada singers such as Pablo López, Loquillo and Rosendo.

Other activities of Unicaja Banco in Granada

This support by Unicaja Banco to the economic, sporting, touristic and cultural life of Granada, reinforcing its economic and business fabric, is reflected also in other initiatives where the bank collaborates, such as the official sponsorship of Sierra Nevada sky and mountain resort or the collaboration with the Ultra Sierra Nevada race or with the event on entrepreneurship Alhambra Venture and the Lorca Route.

All of that, in addition to the usual financial activity of Unicaja Banco in the province, an important area of action for the bank and with which it has a long-standing link, within Unicaja Banco’s presence as a financial institution of reference in Andalusia.
