This basketball tournament, one of the most important preseason events, will be held from 13 to 15 September in Arroyo de la Miel (Benalmádena), Sabinillas (Manilva) and Marbella.

Unicaja Banco, within its interest in promoting sports, will sponsor for the second consecutive year the VIII Costa del Sol International Basketball Tournament (Torneo Internacional de Baloncesto Costa del Sol), to be organized in September by the Diputación Provincial de Málaga (Malaga Provincial Council) and with top teams Unicaja, Real Madrid and Olympiacos.
This basketball tournament will be held from 13 to 15 September in Benalmádena, Manilva and Marbella, as it has been said today in a press conference attended by the President of Diputación de Málaga, Elías Bendodo; the president of Unicaja Baloncesto, Eduardo García; the sport director of Real Madrid, Alberto Herreros, and Unicaja Banco’s member of Institutional Relations and Relations with Stakeholders, Juan de Mata Sanz, as well as by other representatives of local authorities and sponsors.
The competition will start on 13 September with a game between Unicaja and Olympiacos at Polideportivo de Arroyo de la Miel (Benalmádena). The second game will be held a day later at Ciudad Deportiva de Sabinillas (Manilva), and will be between the Greek team and Real Madrid, reigning champions of this tournament.
Finally, the last game will be held on Saturday 15 September at Pabellón Municipal Carlos Cabezas in Marbella, and will have Unicaja and Real Madrid as contenders. All the games are scheduled at 20.00 hrs.

VIII Torneo Internacional Costa del Sol
Malaga Provincial Council organizes the Costa del Sol International Tournament for the eighth consecutive year with the goal of bringing top basketball to Malaga province.
The Costa del Sol tournament is a reference in national basketball. Throughout its eight editions, it has brought international teams to Malaga province, such as Khimki (from Russia), Partizan Belgrade, Benetton Treviso, Armani Jeans Milan, Cibona Zagreb, Fenerbahçe or Alba Berlin.
