The participation of Unicaja Banco in this fair, with which it has collaborated since its first edition, falls within the support that the financial institution gives to the business fabric and to the economic development of the province of Jaen, as well as to the agricultural sector and, in particular, to one of the most characteristic sectors of the agricultural production in Andalusia: olive oil and its surrounding industry.

Unicaja Banco is the benchmark institution in Andalusia. This fact, together with its commitment to Jaen in general and to the olive grove sector in particular, makes Unicaja Banco to be an active participant and collaborator in all the initiatives to improve, promote, research and enhance the trading and consumption of olive oil.

In this regard, it is worth to mention publications such as the ‘Annual Report on the Agricultural Sector in Andalusia’, prepared each year by Analistas Económicos de Andalucía, the research company of Grupo Unicaja, and which has reached 27 editions.

Futuroliva was organized for the first time in 2000 and it has consolidated itself as one of the first single-product fairs in the sector of olive groves, and it has grown in number of participating professionals, visitors and institutions, to become a reference for all the sector of olive oil.

This tenth edition features over 140 exhibiting companies, as well as an international commercial mission with buyers from China and South Korea. Other activities that will take place include seminars on topics such as ‘Irrigation systems. Modernization and Efficiency’, ‘Deoleo. Quality and value in olive oil’. The II Meeting on Employability in the Olive Sector’ will also be organized.
