BASIC PRINCIPLES

The Unicaja Banco Group is fully committed to sustainable development and strengthens its reference position within its scope of action with objectives that contribute to economic, social and environmental development, considering the needs of all its interest groups, especially its customers, shareholders and investors.

The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Policy, within the setting of compliance with the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact and the 2030 Agenda and the 17 ODS, is based on the following principles:

  1. Promote best practices in all areas of action as a means of achieving their continuous improvement.
  2. Identify and manage all risks prudently (financial, non-financial and sustainability risks, especially financial risks linked to climate change) according to the mechanisms set out in the Grupo Unicaja Banco Risk Propensity Framework and in other internal policies or manuals.
  3. Maintain an ongoing flow of communication and transparent with all stakeholders to allow for the incorporation of social and environmental expectations into the Group's business values.
  4. Encourage and foster sustainable development by promoting positive impacts and minimising negative impacts.
  5. Promote socially responsible actions that have an impact on the satisfaction of both customers and other stakeholders, as well as on the Group's good reputation and image.
