Unicaja has signed a collaboration agreement whereby it joins Mandatum as a sponsor. Mandatum is an association of companies whose aim is to promote the integration of occupational health and safety into the strategies of Andalusian organisations.
With this agreement, the bank reaffirms its commitment to a culture of prevention and the creation of safe and healthy working environments.
The agreement, which was signed in Málaga by Unicaja’s head of Communications and Corporate Image, Fernando Ríos, and by the president of Mandatum, Álvaro Polo, provides for Unicaja’s support for training initiatives, technical seminars and projects developed by the association to promote a culture of prevention within the business community.
Fernando Ríos thus highlighted the importance of this partnership with Mandatum, emphasising that “at Unicaja we are firmly committed to health and safety at work”, and stressing that “the protection of our staff is a cornerstone of our management strategy, which is geared towards ensuring a safe and healthy working environment”.
He also emphasised that the organisation has an Occupational Risk Prevention Policy that incorporates safety protocols, preventive measures and actions to promote healthy habits among its staff, as part of a comprehensive prevention approach.
For his part, Álvaro Polo highlighted the importance of having leading companies and role models that promote initiatives focused on wellbeing, safety and health within organisations, as is the case with Unicaja, an organisation that also stands out for its strong corporate culture in which people’s wellbeing is a strategic pillar.
In this regard, he added that “for Mandatum, it is a genuine privilege to have Unicaja on board in every respect. Its involvement as a sponsor not only represents significant support for our mission, but also strengthens our ability to continue fostering a truly preventive, innovative culture aligned with current challenges –challenges which we will, in fact, have the opportunity to discuss in Málaga this coming September”.
