The commitment to the agricultural and livestock sector in the province of Cuenca has once again brought together Unicaja and the Sindicato Independiente Agropecuario de Cuenca (SIAC), who will work hand in hand to provide the best resources to professionals in rural areas for a new Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) campaign. As part of this, the agricultural union will make all its resources available to its members to process CAP applications, and the financial institution will provide access to advance payments of aid, amongst other financial resources on special terms.

Unicaja’s Area manager in Cuenca, Jesús López, and the SIAC representative in Cuenca, Javier de la Vega Mercado, have signed the agreement with the aim of supporting farmers and livestock breeders in the new campaign and offering them the best financial solutions to support their growth, innovation and improved competitiveness.

SIAC Cuenca makes all its resources and technical staff available to its members to process applications for agricultural aid, as well as to advise them and resolve any queries that may arise regarding CAP regulations.

Furthermore, members of the organisation who submit their application through Unicaja will be able to receive the subsidy amount in advance.

In addition, the bank has allocated €1,000 million in pre-approved loans for this financial year, earmarked for the 2026 Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) campaign and intensive crops, with the aim of providing immediate liquidity to enable farmers to proceed with their campaigns with confidence.

It also offers farmers, amongst other products, specialised financing for olive groves and vineyards, with specific features designed to meet the needs of these types of crops.

Experience and commitment

Unicaja’s commitment to providing ongoing support to the agricultural sector translates into the provision of financial, protection and advisory services, as well as the development of specific agreements, to contribute to the economic and sustainable growth of the sector in the region.

Its experience in the sector and its knowledge of the local area, as well as its collaboration with organisations such as SIAC Cuenca, enable it to offer the most suitable financial solutions to help farmers get the most out of their work.

SIAC is a CAP partner organisation, meaning that support for farmers is fully guaranteed. The organisation has historically represented farmers and livestock breeders in the province of Cuenca since 1977 and today provides its services throughout the province via its technical team.
