Unicaja shows its support for the nearly 500 members of the Asociación de Empresarios de Transporte, Logística, Aparcamientos y Actividades Afines de Asturias (Asetra), and offers them a comprehensive and specific financial service, with advantageous financial conditions, aimed at facilitating and improving their activity.

This close relationship is reflected in a financial collaboration agreement, which was signed during a ceremony attended by Unicaja's regional manager for the Northen Area, Iñaki Pradera, and the President of Asetra, Ovidio de la Roza.

The agreement is part of Unicaja's policy of placing individual customers, companies and the self-employed at the centre of its activity, offering them personalised and friendly service.

It also joins other agreements that the bank has with the main professional and business associations in its areas of operation, as part of its support for the business community in general and its interest in promoting and facilitating economic growth.

With this agreement, Unicaja offers Asetra a range of financial products and services to facilitate the execution of its daily activities, an offer that also extends to each of the association's members.

Specifically, it includes liability products, financing operations, means of payment, digital services and insurance, highlighting its comprehensive offering for companies, SMEs and the self-employed (Plan Cero Profesional Autónomos, 'Requetecuenta Digital' or Tarifa Plana para TPV, among other benefits).

On behalf of Unicaja, Iñaki Pradera highlighted the importance of supporting the professionals who sustain the transport and logistics activity and stated, in this regard, that "our strategy is to strengthen mobility and economic development in Asturias".

Pradera added that "with the aim of ensuring balanced growth, at Unicaja we are working to promote measures that improve the competitiveness and sustainability of this sector, while committing to ongoing dialogue with Asetra".

For his part, the president of Asetra stated that "agreements such as this are essential to provide financial muscle to our companies at a time of key transformation. The sector needs to make significant investments in fleet renewal, sustainability and digitalisation, and having the backing of a bank such as Unicaja gives us the stability we need to face these challenges with confidence".

Multimodal Transport Forum

The collaboration between the two institutions is not limited to this agreement. Unicaja, aware of the importance of this sector for economic development, offers its support to other events organised by Asetra, such as the Multimodal Transport Forum, whose ninth edition will take place this Friday, 28 November, in Gijón, and which is sponsored by the financial institution.

Businesses in general, and SMEs and the self-employed in particular, continue to be one of the key groups targeted by  Unicaja´s financing policy. Thus, the bank has made the financing of businesses, which are crucial for boosting the economy and creating jobs, one of its priority areas of business.

In fact, Unicaja's objective is to provide financing to entities based in Asturias in order to continue promoting investment and supporting the expansion and development of strategic projects in the Asturian business sector.

Asetra

The Asociación de Empresarios de Transporte, Logística, Aparcamientos y Actividades Afines de Asturias is part of the Confederación Española de Transporte de Mercancías (CETM) and is the most representative insitution in this field in Asturias.

Since 1977, it has been working at the service of Asturian transport and parking businesses to defend their interests at both regional and national level. It currently has almost 500 members, representing more than 2,600 vehicles.
